DOCTRINAL VIEWS
We Believe

1. There is only one true and living God; and that there are three persons in the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

2. The scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the word of God, and the only rule of faith and practice.

3. That all mankind is by nature in a fallen state, and is unable by self-determined human effort to recover.

4. Jesus Christ, the Son of God, suffered death, bearing the penalty of sin for mankind, paying the redemptive price and securing reconciliation on our behalf.

5. Sinners are justified in the sight of God, only by the imputed righteousness of Christ.

6. Salvation through Jesus Christ is a personal experience.
a) It involves the convicting and regenerating work of the Holy Spirit.
b) There is a definite realization of personal sin and accountability to God.
c) That a godly sorrow, if yielded to, will result in true repentance toward God.
d) That with an humbled broken heart we must by faith view Christ as our only Saviour.
e) On our part, we undergo the removal of the weighted feelings of guilt and sorrow, and the incoming of peace and assurance in our heart.
f) An individual will know for themselves when God has saved their soul.

7. Salvation is eternal; secured by the power of God by the seal of the Holy Spirit.

8. Christ set up his Church during his earthly ministry and it exists today, being made up of baptized believers organized together in local, visible bodies. Independent of human organizations; Christ being its leader.

9. Baptism is the obedience to Christ in stating by the act outwardly of what has happened inwardly. Baptism is by immersion in water and is necessary to Church membership. The Lord's Supper is a memorial, symbolizing our Lord's death. Both baptism and the Lord's Supper are under the responsibility of the local Church.

10. Christ is returning again for his redeemed. The dead shall rise and will be judged. The joys of the redeemed will be eternal, the sorrows of the sinner will be everlasting.
